Learning Diversity Teacher (Y5-6)

I am originally from Wisconsin, USA and grew up in a small farming community. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education as well as certifications in the areas of Learning Disabilities and Emotional Behavioural Disorders.  I also have completed my postgraduate work in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Before coming to Discovery College, I refined and implemented a learning support programme for students with special educational needs at an international school in Shanghai and prior to that I worked as a cross-categorical teacher in Wisconsin. I enjoy the challenge of working in this area because each day is a new adventure. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than watching the progress and successes of my students. When I am not teaching I enjoy reading, travelling and copious amounts of coffee.
