I am thoroughly enjoying my second year in Hong Kong teaching English and Humanities at Discovery College. The students here are fantastic and I am looking forward to watching the current Year 7, 8 and 9 students mature into increasingly independent young adults. It is an absolute privilege to work with such a talented, vibrant team and, although we are still in the early stages, I am excited by the prospect of all that this College will become. This is my first time living overseas and while I will always be a Kiwi girl, I am loving the opportunity to spread my wings and travel to exotic locations. When I'm not out and about enjoying the many sights and tastes of Hong Kong, and the hectic rush of its crowds, I am often to be found buried in a book (or, as is more accurate, buried under a pile of them). A diehard literature lover to the core, my greatest desire is to instill in all my students a love of reading, and embracing new and challenging ideas.
