This course aims to encourage in students an appreciation and understanding of the value of physical activity and its relationship to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. The studying of health promotion, motivation, communication strategies, fundamental physical skills, critical reflection and analysis, international perspectives on physical activity and the development of a lifelong interest and enjoyment in activity are key components. In year three of the program, students have the opportunity to develop these skills through participation in units of study including adventure based learning, aquatics, athletics, volleyball, health, coaching, ‘Ultimate’, and community dance.
