Discovery Bay (DB) is on Lantau Island, an outer island of Hong Kong. It offers resort-style living with a strong sense of community. With no private cars, Discovery Bay is an ideal choice for families. It is a self-contained residential area with its own bus service, including routes to the Sunny Bay MTR station, Tung Chung MTR station and HK Airport (25 minutes). It is also served by a 24-hour ferry service to Central. The community has two shopping plazas and a wide choice of restaurants. Its relaxed, beach atmosphere lends itself to a more leisurely pace of Hong Kong living. It is one of the few places in HK where children can walk, cycle or skate to school. Sports and outdoor activities play a major part in the lives of the students at Discovery College. Sports are provided not only through a comprehensive and highly competitive College programme, but also through very strong local sports clubs in Discovery Bay, including the DB Pirates Rugby and Dragons Football. A number of community multi-sport and challenge activities are offered annually to students.
